Hi, I’m Sari Azout, the founder of sublime.app —the personal knowledge management tool of my dreams. This is our weekly inspiration email, where we share ideas that will ignite your spirit, as well as occasional behind the scenes of building Sublime.

Sublime is currently in private beta. If you’d like to skip the line, consider upgrading to a yearly paid subscription where you will get immediate access to the app (+ all our Premium subscribers-only content)

What’s in the Cards?

  1. Tech discourse is funny because the buzzwords keep changing. These days, it’s taste, vibes, agency, and aesthetics all the way down, baby.

  2. Loved this from

    Leandra Medine Cohen
    :

Click the screenshot above —the related cards are so good!

Plus, reminds me of this sentence from

    Junot Díaz
    :

  3. I’m a sucker for a good job description and this one is fab.

Check out my full collection of good job descriptions for inspo —and stop making yours boring!

  4. Why bother to write?

  5. Damn, there is so much wisdom in the Anton Ego speech in Ratatouille.

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy.

We risk very little, yet enjoy a position of those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgement.

    We thrive on negative criticism.

Which is fun to write and to read.

But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk, is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.

But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new.

The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations.

    The new needs friends.

  6. Stories drive everything.

  7. Jack Johnson sings to pre-school students—this is so wholesome!

Pair with this video of me demo’ing our new app (podcast magic) to a class of 2nd graders. If you are a Sublime Premium member and want early access, reply to this email!

  8. Why is this so unexplainably correct.

  9. I effing love Ezra Klein.

  10. Love when people share principles they live by. Here’s a good one from Nabeel Qureshi:

Pair with this collection of personal manifestos and principles.
