What's in the cards?

One of my favorite things to do is collect ways to describe people when they’re most loved (I keep them in a private Sublime collection).

It can be an Instagram caption by Justin Long describing his wife on her birthday, a eulogy that manages to put a finger on another person’s essence.

I don’t know, I just love idiosyncratic ways of describing the specific qualities in someone we are drawn to and which are often very hard to articulate.

Maybe it’s because I’m tired of worshipping intelligence or because I am just a flawed human stumbling through the world in pursuit of a great CV and a great eulogy. These two desires do not neatly coexist, but this is where we are in the story.
