Welcome to another edition of “What’s in the Cards?” where we share a few things that made us go whoa this week.
What’s in the Cards?
Chris Sacca (seed investor in Twitter, Uber, Instagram) on social media via the Tim Ferriss podcast:
I am a wealthy, happily married, got everything I need. Almost 50 year old, white dude. And when I get on Instagram, I feel so much fucking FOMO. My life feels so inadequate. I'm like, Jesus, look at that guy. Oh, fuck, where are they? They're having so much fun. Shit, that guy's so much fitter than me right now. Fuck. And it makes me unhappy. And so maybe me and 13 year old girls have a lot in common… We reinvented cigarettes, fentanyl lace cigarettes when we started social media with all the best intentions.
P.S. I did not stop my car to jot this down. I captured it with Podcast Magic - the new podcast insight capture tool the Sublime team is developing. Email me if you want early access.

This has always been the case and always will be.A good time to remember that intelligence and wisdom is not the same. Intelligent people understand technical details, smart people understand emotional details.
An incredibly moving and very well done six-part documentary series about Keiko, the killer whale that played Willy in Free Willy.
Have fun with your haters!
The best thing I read this week was, on this article on embracing paradoxes in investing that is applicable to life in general.

Plus, a selection of cards I saved to my private library, available only for premium members. This week:
Four words that belong on future Sublime Merch.
A sentence that really captures the spirit of my new voice note experiment, 'In the Weeds.'
An honest interview with a couple who each have interesting careers. (I love these kinds of interviews!).
A quote in my Phrases collection - which is basically a museum of sentences that stirred my soul.
