"There’s a peculiar kind of sadness that comes from adding more words into a bottomless pit when you’re motivated for the wrong reasons."
One of the reasons I always love receiving newsletters from you: I know that you're writing because you have something interesting to say, not just for the sake of consistency.

One of the best email I have received in years. The timeliness was incredible and the content was amazing. The graph for managing complex change alone could be interpreted also on 'why we don't achieve what set out too'.
Loved this! You’ve wrapped up the words I’ve been struggling to articulate beyond a chokey ’consume less, create more’ recently. I do worry for future generations of iPad kids because making and creating is a muscle they aren’t getting to build, you know?
Thanks for shining light on the self in the context of consumption and creativity. With social media consumption, we tend to narrow our views as the algorithm pushes us in a certain direction. This might create a false sense of self. Your emotions push you into a certain direction, if not given attention to. Also, you can't be creative without going inward.
What a wonderful post. "An easy way to lose oneself is to consume so much we lose sight of who we are and what we value. Creating is the opposite. The more we create, the more likely we are to figure out what’s really inside us." I've been feeling like this for a long time now.
